Steven M. Platek
Why what we know about psychology is wrong
Steven M. Platek is a professor of psychology at Georgia Gwinnett College. He is currently vice president of the Applied Evolutionary Psychology Society and journal officer to the Southeastern Evolutionary Perspectives Society. He was editor-in-chief of the journal, Evolutionary Psychology for five years and currently serves on several editorial boards.
Platek has published over 80 peer-reviewed articles and chapters, three edited volumes, and is regularly invited to lecture on evolutionary psychology and cognitive neuroscience. In addition to academics, he is a single father, a retired professional GRID athlete, current coach of a professional GRID team, and a competitive CrossFit athlete.
