Ongoing Planning

Day-of-Event Volunteers

Support event logistics, greet and guide attendees, manage registration and audience flow, assist backstage, and more, ensuring smooth operations while engaging with attendees professionally and warmly.

Be part of the TEDx community, contribute to an unforgettable experience, and connect with incredible individuals. Volunteers may also attend a block of 4 speakers + 1 performer (subject to team coverage and availability). Ensuring the event runs smoothly remains the top priority.


Time commitment:
Volunteers must commit to the following schedule:

- In-Person Orientation: Feb 2, 2025, 3:00–5:00 PM, ET.
- Virtual Meeting: Attend Feb 10 or 17, 2025 (exact time is TBD).
- Set-Up Day: Feb 27, 2025, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, ET.
- Event Day: Feb 28, 2025, 8:00 AM–7:00 PM, ET.

Head of Communications

Lead the communications and storytelling function and manage the development and production of creative assets pertaining to the TEDxAtlanta conference.

Work with TEDxAtlanta's Licensee to create a cohesive conference visual identity .

Time commitment:
7hours /month over a period of one year. Must be available for 6-8 hours of onboarding at the start.

Audience Experience - Adventures/Salons

Calling aspiring event producers!

Work with TEDxAtlanta's Licensee to produce immersive experiences for our community year-round.

Time commitment:
7hours /month over a period of one year. Must be available for 6-8 hours of onboarding at the start.

Writers

Do you love writing about exciting new fields through the lens of experts? Join our Write Squad and interview some of the most fascinating people in the region.

Perfect for recent journalism graduates.

Time commitment:
Must be able to complete a minimum of 7 assignments over a period of one year.

Visual Storytellers

Stories bring ideas to life!

Is IG, FB, TikTok, Linkedin or Twitter your storytelling playground? Do you have a passion for innovation and innovators, join TEDxAtlanta's Multimedia Storytelling Team.

Time commitment:
Must be able to complete a minimum of 12 assignments during over a period of one year.

head of Partnerships

Collaborate with Licensee to develop partnership strategy. Lead the partnership ambassador team.

Financial and in-kind support from brands and community organizations fund 40% of production costs. The skill sets needed to be successful as the Head of Partnerships are similar to those of Sales Managers.

Time commitment:
Must be able to manage 2-3 brand relationships throughout a calendar year. Must be available for 5 hours of onboarding at the start.

Partnership Ambassadors

Conduct outreach to potential sponsors.

Financial and in-kind support from brands and community organizations fund 40% of production costs. The skill sets for Partner Ambassadors are similar to those pursuing careers in business development.

Time commitment:
Must be able to manage 2-3 brand relationships throughout a calendar year. Must be available for 5 hours of onboarding at the start.

Head of Volunteer Experience

We are looking for someone who is equal parts organized and people-centric to co-create with our licensee a Volunteer Success framework. The skill-sets needed are similar to that of a Chief People Officer.

Time commitment:
Must be able to complete a minimum of 5 assignments during a calendar year.

Webmaster /Mailchimp Admin

TEDxAtlanta is our primary storefront and we're in search of budding WordPress webmasters ideally with Search Marketing experience. Familiarity with Elementor is a bonus.

Time commitment:
Avg. 5 hours/month over a calendar year. Must be available for 5 hours of onboarding at the start.

Volunteer Experience Coordinator

We are looking for resourceful event planners to support our Head of Volunteer Experience in planning and bringing to life socials and special events for the TEDxAtlanta volunteer team.

Time commitment:
Must be able to coordinate 3 volunteer events over a period of one year.
